Chapter 59

A couple days we were on are way to brittany's parents picnic. it was their place were they had a big backyard and a pool. we got there, brittany lead me, my mom, and Dad to the backyard.

"Brittany, your here" her mom said

"hi, mom"

"Sidney" she said gave me a hug.

"hi, mis--" she gave me a look.

"anne"

"that better"

"mom....dad" she said grabbed her dad away from the grill. "this is trina, and tory
sid's parents, this is my mom and dad, anne and dan."

They all said their hi's.

"and you" britt said and pulled me away.

"what?"

"okay thats my aunt linda, unlce art, my cousins chris, madisyn, josh, and Drerk.
stay away from him specially when he's drinking which already looks like he is."

"why?"

"because he's an asshole."

Britt's POV

Everthing was going good. our parents hit it off, right away, Our dads were talking
by the grill, and our mom were sitting down next to me talking. Sindey was talking
my cousin Josh . I turned around, and talked to our moms. I looked at Sidney again, and saw drerk walk up to sidney with a beer in his hand. i could hear what they were
saying.

"so it really is Sidney Crosby." drerk said "everybody likes oh my god sidney crosby
her, i say who cares."

oh great here we go. Sid didn't sat anything.

"you know all you are is a sissy." drerk said tapping sid's chest. sid backed
away. "see your scared."

"i'm no scared. I don't want to start anything."

"come on sissy boy."

"no, thanks" sid said

"sissy" then drek punch sid, he fell to his knees.

"Sidney" i run over to him got down to his level and lefted up his head. He had a
bloodly lip.

"what the hell derek" I said

"oh that right he's dating you, i don't know why anybody would want to date you
after the past you had, amd the way guys have touched you."

"thats it" sid said and pushed me and got up grabbed him bu the shrit and punched
him.

"Sid" i yelled i got up.

"say something about her again." sid yelled

"Sidney" I yelled again i grabbed his arm.

Adam grabbed derek.

We got them apart, i wrapped my arms around him.

"you okay?" I asked looking up at him.

"yeah damn he can punch." he said

"come on let me clean you up."

We walked in the house we sat down at thr kitchen table. i got a wet and a dry
towel. i sat infront of him. and started cleaning his lip.

"thanks babe."

"your welcome." I said "you can't hit somebody everytimes they say something about
me."

"i know. that just pissed me off."

After I was done clearing him up. i sat infront of him. I put my hand on his face,

"you okay?"

"yeah" he grabbed my face and kissed me. "lets get back out there."\

"kay."

We made our way outside. sid went up to my parents.

"Mr and Miss Taylor i'm sorry for starting something."

"Sidney, its fine, you didn't start anything." mom said

"Sidney patrick what were you thinking?" trina asked

"mom"

"trina, it's fine" mom said taking her to sit down.

Sidney and I walked more into the backyard.

"I told you nobody likes him, but my mom said he's still family"

"family doesn't say thing about their family like that."

"yeah, ture."

"anyways want to go swimming?" he asked I looked at him. he smiled

"you wouldn't" i told him

"oh, I would"

"sidney.... no" i went to run and he grabbed me to soon, and we fell into the pool.
i got my head above water.

"Sidney" i yelled he was laughed so hard. I was supired he could keep himself above

water.then i put my hands on the top his head and push him under. He came back up and grabbed my waist. i wrapped my legs around his waist, and locked my hands behind his neck.

"I can't believe you did that." i said to him.

"that was so funny." he said laughed

I laughed then he kissed me. i grabbed hold of his shoulders. when we broke apart. i
pushed him under water. i stared to swim away. he came back up.

"britt" he yelled

i was getting out of the pool laughing. then he got out.

"really....i kiss you and you push me under."

I laughed "yes"

we went in the house, i got changed into some clothes I had at my parents, Sid
changed into his swimming shorts. I give him one of my brother's shirt. i put our clothes in the dryer.

I looked at him.

"what?" he asked

"aren't thise the shorts from the beach last year."

he looked at them didn't say anything at first "yeah, the ones from the day we met."

"wow, its alomost been a year.

"yeah, that was a good day."

"not for me."

"why?"

"i got hit with a volleyball, and got shoaked"

"its a bathsuit it supposed to get wet."

i hit him in the arm.

"thats's what you said"

"and I run into you."

"good thing"

"yeah"

"but do you remmber what happend that night."

"yeah, i held you hand for the first time, and later that night when I looked at you
I got butterflies," i smiled.

"when i heard you laughed fanilly it was one of the best sounds, i ever heard."

I smiled

Later that night they were showing fireworks. me and sidney were outside sitting
down watching the. i layed my head on his shoulder. i locked our fingers together. a
little bit later.

"sidney" his mom saiod i lefted my head off his shoulder.

"yeah"

"if were going catch out plane we need leave now."

"okay" we both stood up.

"Brittany, we had a great time your parents are great."

"i glad you had a good time, thanks for coming."

they went to say bye to my parents. i turned to Sidney.

"can't you stay?" I asked

"can you come?"

"a girl gotta work" i said, then I looked up at him."I love you."

"i love you too." he said putting me into a hug.

"Sidney" his mom said

"I gotta go."

"okay, do you need a ride? "

"no, stay here with your family."

"are you sure?"

"yeah"

I walked them out. his parents got into the cab.

"i'll see ya." he said

"yeah"i tited my head and looked at him.

"you gonna be okay?"

"yeah, i'll be fine." he put his hand on my hip, and kissed me.

"bye"

"bye." he got in to the cab.

I went back out back and watched the rest of the fireworks.
