Epilogue

*7 Months Later*

Britt’s POV 

Sidney, Aiden, and I walked into my parents, on 4th of july.
“Baby” my mom said, she took Aiden from Sidney. I laughed.
“hello mom.”  
“oh hello sweetie, hi Sidney” She said
“hey” Sid said
“come on, handsome you i’m gonna go show you off.”  mom said, went to the back yard.
“remember, he can walk......kind of” I looked at Sid, he laughed. I smiled. we walked in the back yard, started talking with everyone.
The past months has been great, Aiden is getting bigger, and stronger, everyday. He’s trying to get this walking thing down, he can take 10 steps, then he falls. He can say a few words, He got Mama, Hi and  No down, he says Da. He gives this ‘what the hell’ look all the time to people it is one the funniest things i’ve ever seen. I looked at Aiden, my dad was trying to get him to walk to him. He just standing there. i laughed at him. I walked over there. I kneel down next to Aiden,
“you gonna walk over to grandpa?” I asked
“mama” he put his arms out.
“no, walk over to grandpa” i grabbed his hand, and stood up “Come on, bud” he started moving. let go of his hand. he stopped, and turned around
“mama” he said,  we laughed,
“what? buddy” i picked him up.
“you just won’t come to me.” dad walked over to us.
“here go to grandpa.“ Aiden shook his head, and turned away.
“da” he was reaching for Sid, Sid was walking towards us. “da”
“What?” Sid smiled, and ran up, and grabbed Aiden out of my arms, and spun him around. Aiden laughed. i smiled at him.
“he’s a good dad” Dad said  
“yeah, the best”  I said “Sorry, he won’t come to you” I said
“no problem, it took carrie a while to come to me too.”he said,I nodded   
“Grandpa” Carrie yelled, running up to him. he picked her.
“see now she has no problem.” he said
“What?” Carrie nothing
“Aunt Britty”
“hi, sweeite, where’s your dad?”
“in the house.”  
“thanks” I started walking for the house. Then Adam, walked out holding the hand of a dar hair girl. I stopped at smiled. they walked up to me.
“Adam” i smiled
“Sis”  I raised my eyebrows at him.
“this is Jordyn, Jordyn this is my sister Brittany”
“Hi, nice to meet you” I said
“oh, you too, Adam talks about you all the time.”
“yeah?”
“Hey Adam. ”   Sid said, walking behind me, with Aiden.
“Hey, Sid what’s up?” Adam shook Sid hand.
“not much, following this guy around, you?”
“not much, umm Sid this is Jordyn, Jor this is Britt’s husband Sidney.”
“Wow you’re Sidney Crosby” she said
“yeah, nice to meet you” Sid shook her hand, as Aiden pulling away from him.
“down” Aiden said “down”
“well that’s new one.”  I said, Sidney put him down.
“bossy, little guy” Adam said
“is he yours?” Jordyn asked’
“yupp, this is Aiden, Aiden you gonna say hi.”  he didn’t say anything  “Well, you at least gonna go to uncle Adam.”
“no ” he started walking away.
“where do you think your going?” Sidney followed him
“well, then” Adam said,
“don’t feel bad, he won’t go to dad either.”
“he’s adorable” Jordyn said
“thanks” i smiled.
Later, i was helping my mom get all the food out. I sat down for a little.
“Sweetie, are you okay?” mom asked
“oh yeah, i’m fine, just a little tired” I said
“hi” someone sat down next to me.
“oh, Hi , Jordyn, umm so how did you a my brother met? I asked
“oh,at the store, i’m a single mom”
“oh”
“yeah, right over there” she said, pointing to a little boy playing with Sidney Adam, Carrie, and Aiden “Ian he’s 6. his dad left when he was born, but anyways we met at the store, and just hit it off. ”
“i’m glad he found someone. i feel like he’s been lonely the last few years.”
“well i love him, and he’s really good my son.”
“I’m glad.”
“well looks like you have a really great guy.” she said, i looked at Sidney he picked up,andran after Carrie.
“I do” I said, i looked at her. “I do” I smiled. I looked around the yard, watching them all play, when i stop, and see Aimee in the doorway, for the house.
“excuse me” I told Jordyn, i got up, walked to Aimee. She looked at me.
“you were right” she said
“Aim”
“We’re splitting, wasn’t meant to be, it was a stupid idea.”
“I didn’t want to be right, you were happy.”
“I shouldn’t have got mad at you guys, mostly you, you just had Aiden, it was you and Sid’s day”
“how about we just put this behind us, and you back to the way thing were.”  I said
“things were never perfect”
“and thing will never be. but it better then not talking.”
“okay, love you Britt”
“love you, too” We hugged,
“oh my god, is that Aiden?” we pulled apart
“yes” I smiled,  
“he’s so big, and he’s walking” she said, as aiden walked over to Sidney.
“yeah, well trying” I laughed “Wanna meet him?”
“yes!”
“okay”
We went over, and Aimee met him, but once again He wanted nothing to do with anyone, he wanted his daddy. We all ate, Aimee talked to our parents, and Adam.
Later that night, Sid and I were sitting in the grass waiting for the fireworks.Aiden in front of us playing in the grass.  We were just watching him. Sidney yawned
“wow, he wiped me out” Sid said
“yeah...i’m tired too” I moved closer to him. He put his arm around.
“you’ve been tired a lot lately”
“yeah. i have”
“oh, bud, you okay?”  Sidney asked, after Aiden on his butt. Aiden tried getting back up, he kept falling. “come here” Sidney said, he let go of my, and help him back up.
“your such a good dad”  I said
“your a great mom too” He said, I smiled wrapped his arm around me. “So waht do think of Adam girl?”  Sidney asked
“i like her, i’m just happy he found someone.”
“me too....your sister?”
“i feel bad for her, she just now needs to get her life back track.”
“yeah”
“are you two okay?” he asked
“yeah, we’re good.”  i said
“mama” Aiden over to me, open his hand, and pieces of grass fall on my lap. I giggled.
“thank you buddy.” he walked away.sidney laughed
“he’s so cute” Sid said
“yeah, i don’t think can get any more” i smiled
“so....babe” Sidney grabbed my hand “i was thinking, before Aiden get to old, we could....maybe tried for another one.” I looked at him, and smiled
“you want another baby?”
“yeah, i just thinking you don’t them that far apart, you kind of want them to grow up together”
“yeah” I smiled, looking at him
“what?” he asked
“nothing, i’m just really glad you said that.”
“why?” he asked,
“Sidney” I smiled, he shook his like ‘what?’ “i’m....pregnant”
“what?”
“we’re having a baby”
“for real?” he asked
“yes” i nodded.
“oh my god”, he grabbed my face, and kissed me.  “i can’t believe this“
“believe it” i smiled
“i love you” he said
“I love you too”
“and i love you” he putted up, and shook him a little he giggled, Sidney pulled in close. “and you” he put his hand on my stomach. He looked up at me.i smiled. I kissed his cheek. I have everything i ever needed.
“Bud, you ready to be a big brother?” Sidney asked.
“no” Aiden trying to get out of Sidney’s arms
“he has no idea what you’re saying” I laughed
“i know” he said, then there was the first boom of fireworks. Aiden relax, real fast in Sidney arm. Sid wrapped his other arm around. Aiden pressed his face into Sidney chest.
“buddy, it’s okay.” i said, he grabbed my finger. I smiled at him. Sidney tighten arm around me, i put my other around me. We were the closest we could get to each other, Aiden pressed his face more and more into Sidney chest with every boom from the fireworks. Sidney trying to get him to see nothing is wrong, as we sat there and watch the fireworks.
